                                                       Week  6 Reflection

The past 6 weeks in Photography 2 has been, interesting. I have previously been in the class before for no less than a week last year as a freshman and now that I was able to make it to week 6. I am simply amazed of how much I learned and improved my photographic and Photoshop techniques. Within the last weeks I have learned how to read the settings on my camera and manipulate them for the purpose of improving my photos. With that the ability of taking what I already learned from photo 1 and building on it with more experience knowledge of the field.

In week one the first project assigned was a photography advertisement theme. The purpose was to positively promote a product by use. We were to choose a product, take at least one photo that would be in the ad, and then Photoshop it to include contact information, and other fundamental artistic properties. Manipulation of the photo had to appeal to the audience we indented to show the ad to. Like all projects we then critiqued are other classmate’s ads in a way that would provide constructive criticism.

The next Project would be based on Cubism, in which I not only learned a few new tricks on Photoshop but also patents and open-mindedness. The same post-production schedule occurred with presentation and commenting and from there we moved on to smaller activities. We worked on line photography and shape photography, in which we had to emphasizes basic objects in photography that relate to shapes and lines, found in both the classroom environment and outdoor campus environment.

The project we led into was Trimal, when we had to integrate 2 animals, and are selves in Photoshop, using blending tools and other fundamental techniques we learned in Photo1. I did not finish my project due to technical issues with my school computer. This leaves us off at week 6 where we had to type out this Reflection. In the weeks to come I plane on learning more about Photography and to continue emerge myself in more experience and knowledge in the field of photography.
